A short Adriatic coast and the Julian Alps — Piran, Lake Bled and Bohinj in one trip. No problem.
Slovenia gives you the Adriatic and the Alps in the same week. The coast is only 47 km long, centred on the Venetian harbour town of Piran, with Portoroz and Izola next door. Inland, Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj sit under Triglav national park, and Ljubljana is an hour from both.
Our Slovenian stays are apartments and rooms in old town houses and lakeside villages — quiet, well run and priced in euro. Enquire with your dates and we will tell you honestly which base suits the trip you have in mind.

Yes. There are concrete platforms and a small pebble beach around the point, and the water is clean. Portoroz has a proper beach and a spa.
Bled is prettier and busier, with the island church and castle. Bohinj is quieter, larger and better for hiking and swimming from the shore.
For the lakes and the mountains, yes. Piran, Izola and Koper are easy by bus or on foot.
June and September. July and August are warm but busy at Bled; the coast is pleasant from May.
About an hour from Bled and 90 minutes from Piran. It works as a city break on the way to either.
